LOUD ALARM: If dangerous levels of CO are detected in your home, the carbon monoxide detector will alert you with 4 loud chirps—85 dB(A) at 3 m (min)—and a flashing red ‘CO’ LED light.TEST BUTTON: Press the large test button to ensure your CO detector is working properly. A loud, high-pitched sound and the red LED flashing four times will verify that the alarm is functioning correctly. Test your device regularly (we recommend once a week).LOW BATTERY ALERT: A flashing amber ‘!’ and an audible chirp will alert you when the batteries need replacing.SLEEP EASY FUNCTION: If the low battery alert sounds overnight and you are unable to immediately replace the batteries, press the large test button to silence the low battery alert. This activates the Sleep Easy mode on the carbon monoxide monitor, muting the low battery chirp for 8 hours while the amber light flashes. Replace the batteries ASAP.CRESCENDO TEST: This feature helps to protect your hearing by allowing you to choose the volume level of the test alarm.ALARM MEMORY: With the alarm memory function, a red LED will flash to let you know with a visual indication that there has been a previous CO alarm activation within the last 30 days. What should I do if the carbon monoxide (CO) alarm sounds?

In the event of the CO alarm sounding, follow these 3 steps:

VENTILATE: Keep calm; open doors and windows to ventilate your home. Stop using fuel-burning appliances and turn them off.EVACUATE: Evacuate the property immediately.RING FOR HELP: If in the UK, call The National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. If outside the UK, call your supplier’s emergency number. Do not use appliances until they have been checked by an expert. Get medical help for anyone suffering the effects of CO poisoning.

What are the symptoms of CO poisoning? Symptoms of CO poisoning include headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea and vomiting, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, seizures, chest pain, disorientation, and loss of consciousness.

Who should I call in the event of a CO leak? If in the UK, call The National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. If outside the UK, call your supplier’s emergency number.

What are the sources of CO? The common sources of Carbon Monoxide (CO) are cookers, fires, boilers, oil and gas boilers, portable generators, oil or solid fuel cookers, gas or paraffin heaters, barbecues (BBQs), clogged chimneys, wood or gas fireplaces, cigarette smoke or any fossil fuel‑burning appliances.

    I bought this carbon monoxide detector based on FireAngel’s strong reputation, and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint. Setup was simple, and the build quality feels solid and dependable right out of the box.The compact size is a big plus. It doesn’t take up much space and blends in nicely wherever you place it. It also comes with holes on the back for wall mounting, which made installation super quick and easy.I ran a test and wow: the alarm is incredibly loud. No chance of missing it if it ever goes off. Hopefully, the only time it ever makes that much noise is during the test, I’d much rather it stay quiet and bored on the wall than actually detecting carbon monoxide! 😅There’s also a small flashing light that lets you know it’s powered and monitoring, which adds a little extra reassurance without being distracting.You can also expect long battery life, so you won’t constantly be checking or replacing it, just set it and let it quietly do its job.This device definitely helps increase safety at home, and at this price point, it offers excellent peace of mind and value.Highly recommended if you’re looking for a compact, loud, and reliable CO detector from a trusted brand.
