DeWalt's DCS571 is a compact and lightweight circular saw on the 18v XR lithium ion platform, meaning it shares battery compatibility with a wide range of cordless tools and is also suitable for use with the larger Flexvolt batteries which can give it a huge boost in runtime if required. The DCS571 is a fairly unique design amongst 18v cordless circular saws - it uses 115mm blades and has a shallow profile with an elongated rear handle which gives extended reach for long rip cuts. A dust extraction port at the front of the machine enables dust to be sucked out of the work area by connecting up a vacuum hose, and the auxiliary handle can be removed for one handed use.
