Mounted on an extra strong, steel mandrel, this Dremel Max carbide coated sanding drum allows you to move laterally or orbitally to smooth out surfaces, enlarge holes, or create irregular cavities. The carbide coating provides added durability to the surface of the drum and will not tear loose like other ordinary sanding bands. This means the accessory can last up to 30 times longer than the Dremel 408 sanding drum. Additionally, the carbide grit enables it to be used like a hole saw for plunge cutting into materials like wood, plastics, laminates and ceramics.
