The Trend HR/JIG Worktop Hot Rod Jig is a precision routing jig designed to cut grooves in solid worktops for the installation of heat-protective hot rods. Hot rods are fitted into routed recesses to prevent heat damage to the work surface — a practical solution for kitchen worktops and similar installations. The jig is compatible with hot rods in four standard lengths: 100mm, 200mm, 300mm, and 400mm. Constructed from 12mm CNC machined Compact Grade High Pressure Laminate, the jig is built to withstand repeated use on site. Grooves are spaced at a 50mm pitch, with a series of peg holes at 50mm increments allowing the rods to be recessed either at 90 degrees or at 45 degrees to the work surface.
