Rail passengers had to wait a long time for new long-distance vehicles, but on 23 September 2015, movement finally came into the next-generation IC trains. Bombardier's double-deck ICs (IC2) received preliminary approval from the EBA. These new vehicles are now turning train compositions, consisting of an electric locomotive of the series 146.5 (TRAXX P160 AC2) and five double-deck wagons of the type TWINDEXX 2010. The interior of the cars shines through a modern level of equipment and comfort. The five-piece double-deck set offers 465 seats, 70 of which are in the 1st floor.
