The UPS-mini provides an uninterrupted power supply for all vehicle decoders with connection for a support capacitor or a buffer circuit – with completely automatic control. It is connected directly to the connection for a "normal" support capacitor and optionally connected to a free switching output (in order to be able to switch the UPS on and off if required) or to the special output for buffer circuits. When the system is switched on, the UPS-mini limits the charging current for the super-cap to 100 mA. In addition, the UPS "monitors" the track voltage and interrupts the charging of the super-cap as soon as the existing track voltage falls below 12 V.
