    Best straighteners ever!
    I rarely ever usually write reviews, however, I am a black girl with thick curly hair who has been straightening it for the past 10 years or so and these are the best straighteners I have ever used. I have tried out about 6 different hair straighteners (as well as getting my hair professionally done at the hair dressers) including K&K, ghd’s and steam straighteners and these Remingtons are the best, providing a professional quality and easy use. They are so light with no sharp edges so good for long term use, especially as some straighteners cause aches and bruises when working on a lot of hair. The infused ceramic plates make the hair so smooth and shiny, but not oily or greasy, making it look naturally straight and causes no breakage. The buttons are really easy to use and the straighteners are just the right size, coming with a nice satchel making it easy to travel with. 10/10 recommend, get them while the price is low right now, however even at the original £80, i’d still say they are 100% worth the price!

    11 months in and still love it! This is amazing! Better than GHDs!
    I got this Remington Shine Therapy Straightener / Styler on offer, so it was a bargain. I’ve used GHDs since 2002, having tried pretty much every model since it started. My current GHD is the platinum + model, and I have also tried their newest model, the Chronos, but I can honestly say that this Remington Shine Therapy straightener works better on my hair, straightening and curling it more quickly.I have naturally wavy/ fluffy hair, which is quite fine but there’s a lot of it. It goes very frizzy as soon as there’s a bit of drizzle/humidity and I can never blow dry it anywhere near straight. When it fluffs up, it looks like a lion’s mane.I’ve only been using these for a few days, but am blown away by how great they are. The plates are also longer than ghds, which I find makes them easier to curl/wave with, and quicker to straighten with.When switched on, they heat up quickly, though the temperature display seems to flash for a couple of minutes (I haven’t timed it), which I believe indicates they are still heating up. However, I feel they work great even when the display is still flashing. When they switch on, they default to 190 degrees, so if you want them cooler or hotter, you just need to adjust with the buttons. I find 190 to be perfect for my hair, though I haven’t tried it cooler.It glides through my hair so easily. I can’t believe how quickly and effectively it straightens my hair; it has never felt softer or looked healthier. It’s great at curling/waving too, producing long lasting waves for a natural beachy look.There’s a button to lock the plates closed when not in use. This is a great idea but I do sometimes find it a little stiff so I tend not to use it. It’s not something that’s featured on any of my ghds before, so I will probably just continue to use the silicone sleeve I have from my ghd platinums, which holds the styler closed.If I straighten my hair with this, it remains pretty straight until I wash it again (sometimes just needing a straightening top up if it’s been tied in a ponytail. I needed to straighten my hair daily with my GHDs regardless of whether it was a hair wash day or not.The results are so much better with this than my ghds. I should also state that I have used cloud 9s too, which I didn’t think were that great.I can honestly say that this is the best straightener/styler I have ever used. I think I’d just assumed that no one would ever make anything anywhere near as good as ghds but I suppose 20+ years have passed since GHD infiltrated the market.Before spending loads of money on a top of the range one, give this a try, especially if it’s on offer. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.Edit: I’m now nearly 8 weeks in, and my hair still loves this straightener. I wondered if the honeymoon period would wear off, but it hasn’t! And the best of it is, I haven’t had to do anything to my hair (other than brush it) since I washed it (and blow dried and straightened it) two days ago. That was unheard of before I owned this :)Edit: May 2025. It’s almost 11 months since I purchased this and I still stand by how amazing it is. The condition of my hair is the best it’s ever been. I don’t need to re straighten or wave my hair every day like I did with my GHDs; it stays straight or wavy (however I have styled it) until it’s washed again. And the condition of my hair after washing and drying is much better than it’s ever been. My hairdresser has noticed a huge improvement in my hair too.

    UNREAL!
    these are incredible, I have had GHDs & CloudNine straighteners and nothing compares to these! not only are they within budget range but they heat up to maximum 235 degrees but you can set them to your own desired temperature. they leave the hair beautiful and shiny as well as straight. I have extremely thick hair and only need to wash my hair once a week. I can straighten my hair once with these and it’s straight and smooth all week even if ive had it tied up. I have even asked my husband to get me the hair dryer and other straighteners to complete the set.

    Good for price
    I got these based on all the good reviews. They do heat up quick, come with a 5 year guarantee that can be extended to 6! They turn off after 60 mins, always a saving grace when forgetful like me !! I can also curl my hair with them ! For me though the plates are abit to far apart at the bottom i have fine hair so I need to really firmly press them together, perhaps they will loosen up over time ……

    Best hair straighteners ever!
    These hair straighteners are a must have. Very reasonably priced. I wasn’t expecting much for the price but they straighten my thick curly hair in 15/20 mins when previously I had always used GHds which took 45 minutes at least.I love the wide plate and the different temperatures you can select depending on your hair type. They even get my hair straighter and smoother than the GHDs!

    Awesome straighteners!
    Best straighteners I have ever owned, much better than GHD. The glide effortlessly through the hair and only need to pass once to get shiny straight hair! They have a long chord with a swivel which helps with direction through the hair and they heat up fast with a beep to say they are ready. The LCD is clear and the control buttons are easy to reach. All in all they are excellent and for under £40 a real bargain compared to other stores. I would highly recommend them.

    Believe the hype! Better than my GHDs.
    Believe the reviews and hype! Replaced my 15 year old GHDs. Got them on a prime day deal for £20. I can’t believe the quality for the price. I have long wavy hair. These straightened with 1-2 pass throughs and my hair stayed straight the next day as well (this never happens) and felt really silky and shiny.

    Geweldige stijltang. De temperatuur is makkelijk in te stellen. De stijltang glijdt goed door het haar heen, en zorgt voor mooi glanzend stijl haar. Ligt lekker in de hand en is fijn in gebruik.

    Ich musste mir ein neues Glätteisen kaufen da mein altes den Geist aufgegeben hat. Da dieses so viele positive Bewertungen hat habe ich mich für dieses entschieden und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Meine Haare sind so schön glatt geworden und fallen so schön. Habe von Natur aus ein bisschen krauses Haar. Aber mit diesem Glätteisen tolles glattes glänzendes Haar. Kann es nur weiter empfehlen.     Facile da usare, sono mossa di base e i capelli dopo due giorni sono ancora dritti e morbidissimi. Si riscalda velocemente. Consiglio a tuttiUnica pecca, mi é arrivata con la presa inglese.
