Bollom Intulac Ultra Base Coat is a clear, water-based intumescent fire protection coating designed for interior timber surfaces, forming a protective carbon char in the event of fire to delay ignition. As part of the Bollom Intulac Ultra system, this base coat works by insulating against heat, inhibiting fire spread, and reducing flue-gas density and temperature. It must be overcoated with Intulac Ultra Top Coat (available in Matt or Satin finish) no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 4 days after application. Suitable for both softwood and hardwood, as well as timber derivatives including plywood, chipboard, fibre insulation board, hardboard, and veneering up to 12mm thick.
